Today marks 200 complete workouts AND the finish of 11 weeks straight of completing all my workouts. In this last 11 weeks I have started increasing weight and/or reps on a more intentional basis. My mindset is shifting from weight loss to muscle definition and growth. I have 6 pounds give or take still to lose to get me to my goal weight, but if I end up sacrificing that for muscle development and consistency I won’t be mad.
I’m proud of where I am!

Amanda’s Transformation: Showing Up, No Matter What
In October 2023, Amanda signed up for my Over 40 Transformation program, ready for a change. At 196 pounds, she wasn’t just looking to lose weight – she wanted her energy back, to feel stronger, and to fully enjoy life with her family. As a mom of four (kids ages 10-18) and a school counselor, she was stretched thin. Her energy, motivation, and endurance were at an all-time low. She even found herself avoiding adventures in the mountains with her husband – something she once loved.
But one goal really lit a fire in her: she wanted to keep up on her son’s senior trip after graduation. That vision kept her going.
Over the next year, Amanda dropped 44 pounds, going from 196 to 152. But more importantly, she had a mental shift – from focusing just on weight loss to prioritizing strength, posture, and long-term health.

Power of Consistency
One of the things I admire most about Amanda is her commitment to showing up, even when life threw challenges her way. Like everyone, she faced competing priorities, motivation dips, hormone imbalances, and aches and pains – the things that tend to derail progress. But she stayed consistent, focusing on progress over perfection.
One of her favorite results? No longer having the “neck hump” that runs in her family and finally being able to see her shoulders. Those changes didn’t just come from losing weight – they came from building muscle strategically, improving posture, and learning how to maintain her results for life.
I’ll never forget something she said to me: “I get to be imperfect and still achieve results.”
And that’s the real takeaway. Small changes, done consistently, lead to big results. Amanda’s story is proof that if you just keep going, doing the best you can each day, you can completely transform – not just your body, but your entire outlook on health and longevity.
How Amanda Lost Weight And Kept It Off
Amanda first signed up for my Over 40 Transformation Program, and has continued to do my training programs for two years now. She understands the importance of working on mindset, so she has completed my Pivot Mindset Challenge twice!
As a coach, my priority is ensuring that my clients achieve sustainable weight loss and maintain their results long-term. That’s why Amanda and I have had important discussions about strategies to help her keep the weight off for good and finding a new, powerful “why” to keep her on track.
