Post-surgery my body craved movement and I started to experience aches and pains from too much bed rest. So I eased back into weight training quite quickly but with very light weights and gentle movements.

The Comeback Program is based on my recovery and has helped many women like yourself safely resume exercise post-surgery. I understand this is a scary time, but having a post-surgery plan can keep you focused on the positives and things that are actually within your control.

Many of my ladies find a new love in weight training and continue working with me long after their recovery. This journey can truly be an opportunity to discover a stronger version of yourself.

TRAINING POST-HYSTERECTOMY

I am presently over half way through Melanie’s post surgery workout and managing to still handle the pace at age 67. This workout has allowed me to regain my strength and work on other areas while allowing my body to still heal from my total hysterectomy. The videos are awesome and for someone with weak knees the alternate way for lunges is what I needed. Accountability is what I’ve always needed when exercising and this app gives me that as I live in an area where fitness classes don’t exist.

I am on my second program, following the Comeback program. This has been a great addition to my wellness routine. I am stronger than I was pre-surgery, it is enhancing performance to other activities (swimming), and helping me be able to help perform tasks requiring strength safely. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS PROGRAM AND THE OVER 40 PROGRAM?

The Over 40 Transformation Program bundles a training program and nutrition into a really great value package. If you’d like some recipes and nutrition guidance, you can purchase the Over 40 Transformation Program and just let me know that you want the Comeback workouts for your 8 weeks. 

HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT POST-SURGERY TO START?

The workouts in the Comeback program are very gentle and most ladies start between 4 to 6 weeks post-surgery. You’ll want to discuss it with your doctor but they may just tell you not to lift weights until a certain time based on what their general recommendation is for everyone. Be sure to explain to them that this program uses very light weights (ie. under 3-4kg/5lbs) and does not put any pressure on your core or pelvic area.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

You’ll need some light dumbbell (ie. 2-4kg/3-6lbs) and a booty band (you may want to have two booty bands as you get stronger because we sometimes use both of them at once). It’s also helpful to have a yoga mat for safety and comfort because we do a lot of exercises lying and sitting on the floor in this program. 

WHAT IF I DECIDE I'M NOT READY TO START AFTER PURCHASING?

I’ll set up your workouts based on the start date you choose when you sign up. If you decide you aren’t ready to start, as long as you let me know before starting the workouts, or within 24 hours of doing the first workout, I will move the program forward to a new start date.

After you’ve done more than one workout, though, your program will be considered underway and you will only be able to pause it in case of emergency. 

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

Unfortunately, no refunds can be offered because I’m offering the program for very good value and will spend a lot of my time in the first week setting you up. No one has requested a refund yet because it’s a great program!

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY 8 WEEKS IS DONE?

Most women love training so much that they advance onto a regular 8 week training program. You may find that you still need to modify a few exercises but your body will be ready for it. When your Comeback program is nearing completion I will reach out and see if you’d like to continue. Renewals (subsequent programs) are discounted. I don’t store any payment details so I will send you a link to use if you’d like to renew.
